Karen's poetry has been published in numerous journals and nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize. She has been featured reader for Leah Umansky's Couplet series and for great weather for MEDIA. In 2013, her play "The Old In-and-Out" sold out four shows at Stage Left Studio Theater in NYC. Directed by Kat Georges of Three Rooms Press, the play was adapted from poetry of Karen Hildebrand and Madeline Artenberg. Recently Karen had the honor of editing (with Julie Bruck) "When My Heart Goes Dark, I Turn the Porch Light On," a posthumous collection by Jane Underwood, forthcoming from Blue Light Press, and is currently at work on her own first book length manuscript, "Crossing Pleasure Avenue." She lives in Brooklyn and works as chief content officer for Dance Magazine.
